In February, love is in the air with Donizetti’s charming comedy, The Elixir of Love, sung in a witty English translation. This heartwarming comedy hits the stage just in time for Valentine’s Day when a worker falls in love with a beautiful farm owner. HOT’s production is perfectly set in present-day Hawai‘i in a quaint town outside a sugar cane farm. The fantastic ensemble cast includes soprano Natalie Image, tenor Andrew Stenson, and baritone Efrain Solis with director Maria Todaro, all making their HOT debuts. Benjamin Makino returns to conduct following the recent, triumphant run of Madame Butterfly.
